Introduction

This is the internet home of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Michigan Technological University. Michigan Tech is a state-supported research and teaching university located on the south shore of Lake Superior in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The university consists of approximately 6,000 students, 2/3 of whom study engineering. On our pages, you will find news and information about our faculty, staff, graduate students, and education and research programs.
